Elina has always known a little bit of Chinese--just basic stuff like "hold me" or "that's dirty." Watching episodes of Kai-Lan has also added more Chinese vocabulary. But lately, Elina is really into making up her own words in English. I'll ask her, "What do you want to eat?" and she'll reply, "Pa-cha." What's that?!? Through natural progression, now Elina is making up Chinese words. In the videos below she casually came up with this phrase while we were getting ready for a walk. Because we laughed so hard when we heard it, she kept repeating it. So it's her new "Chinese sentence" now. Bak-la (Elina translation: enjoy).
