I love that now I can hear the two of them in another room laughing and cracking up at each other. Today Eli was inside the tent and Elina was on the outside and they were just rubbing their hands back and forth on the tent at each other and they were totally cracking up. It was so cute.
One of Eli's favorite activities is to roll over onto his back and lay on the ground. (He is such a relaxed guy.) Sometimes he'll kick his legs up and down while he's laying there. Now Elina will lay down next to him and the two of them will kick their legs together and crack up.
Eli loves the song "The Noble Duke of York." It's a song you sing while you bounce your child on your knee to the beat. There are parts in the song where you make the baby go up, down, to the left, to the right, and upside down. Eli always asks for "more" when we do this to him. One day Elina wanted to do The Noble Duke to Eli, so she kept trying to chase him down while he crawled/walked away. Then she pulled him onto her lap and sang the song. Poor Eli doesn't look comfortable in this video, but he's a good sport and stayed for the whole song anyway. Like I said, BFF.
These are the moments you know all your sleepless nights and "baby talk" are worth it. This is when you realize why you had more than one child. I can tell that Elina really loves Eli now. He's not just her baby brother, he's her best friend and playmate. Hopefully, she'll still love him this much when they're both in high school and having an argument.
