Foolin' Around

Since the baby's arrival, we've been stuck at home more often. I've been lucky to have help, but I still opt to stay at home when I can because I don't have the timing down yet (nursing the baby while getting the kids ready while eating some breakfast myself) and because I'm just plain tired. So, what happens when you're at home all the time?

(a) You play silly copycat games...[Elina loves to act crazy and Eli loves to copy her]

(b) You pretend the sofa is a horse and ride it...

(c) You pretend to be an animal...[Elina got these fun animal masks for Christmas from a classmate. Eli used to be scared to wear them, but now he's into them. In the other picture, Evie is wearing the mask because J and Evie were both born in the year of the tiger.]

(d) You spend countless hours on the swings in the backyard...[The kids are OBSESSED with swings now. Eli loves to swing on his belly because Elina taught him how to do it.]

(e) You act silly, silly, silly.Answer: All of the above. This is the kind of stuff occurring at the house these days. Luckily, J is usually here on the weekends to encourage this kind of play. I, on the other hand, am usually found on the couch nursing or nodding off with my mouth wide open. What a lovely sight...but at least the kids are having fun!
