I Told You!

Toddlers are known to copy and repeat EVERYTHING that they hear. Even when you think they aren't listening, they've already heard what you said and have filed it away into their little memories just waiting for the perfect opportunity to repeat it. So it's not a surprise that when Elina hangs out with people enough, she starts to pick up their mannerisms.

Since we went back to Brownsville my mom has been helping me a lot with Elina. Needless to say, Elina has started to pick up things that my mom says. While we were playing Crazy Eights the other day, she had to keep drawing new cards because she couldn't get a match. As she's drawing her third card she says emphatically, "You're kidding me!" This was my mom's exact reaction when we played with her the day before. It was really funny.
