We are in a severe drought over here in Texas...so we were excited when a thunderstorm hit yesterday afternoon. It was absolutely wonderful! It poured and it was windy and we enjoyed every minute of it. There was so much rain it looked like rapids were coming down the street. I made the kids put on their rain gear and go splash in the puddles. Elina was reluctant in the beginning because of the loud thunder, but once she got outside she didn't want to come back in.
Poor Eli has outgrown his frog rain boots, so he had to wear Elina's old flower rain boots from last year. Luckily, he didn't mind at all....he just cared about splashing in the puddles!
We wish the rain could have lasted longer because we definitely need it, but we were happy it rained at all! Let it rain, let it rain, let it rain!
