I never thought I'd start a blog. I mean, who has time with a 2 year old and a baby who just got over colic?? But I thought I'd join my many friends (some who have many kids) and enter the world of blogging. It's just that there are so many funny stories, especially about my 2 year old, and I thought it'd be fun to share them with family and friends. Therefore, there won't be many personal entries about me or my husband. The entires here will mainly be short, funny stories about our kids. So here it goes...my first blog entry. Oooooooooooohhhhhh....
Our daughter, Elina, is a little over 2 1/2. She's at that stage where she loves to mimic everything. When I say everything, I mean EVERYTHING. Since I stay at home with her, I am the one she mimics the most. It's frightening how much she sounds like me. Like a mini-me. So whenever she does or says something new we usually think about who or where she could have learned this new talent from. This leads me into my story....
We try to go on walks every evening to get the mail. Elina loves these walks. She puts on her pink sandals (which she calls her "running shoes" because she runs "super duper fast" in them) and we head out the door. Besides her love for picking up pummies (aka "rocks"), she has a great love for walking up steep driveways and running down them at full speed. Lately, this is the routine: she walks up, stands at the top, waits for us to count, "1, 2, 3!" and she runs down flailing her arms yelling, "waddle, waddle, waddle!" We thought it was hilarious, but we couldn't figure out where she learned this from. Was it from a TV show? Was it from a book? Did I say that one time? So we asked our little genius, "Who taught you that?" And she simply answered, "No one. It's just me!"
Enough said.

hahahaha, Elina, way to teach mommy that your world doesn't completely revolve around her!
