More Celebrating to Do!

Besides Evie's birthday party, there were many celebrations to be had...

1. Practice Birthday Party
The week before Evie's birthday party, Elina decided to start a new business called "Kidz Partiez."  She was essentially a party planner and if you gave her a theme, she'd plan your whole party...for $5.   Since Elina really does throw pretty awesome parties, I decided to give this service a try.  Elina was very thorough.  She interviewed Evie to ask her about the theme, colors, food, drinks, and games.  We got everything we needed at the store and then Elina did the rest of it herself...with some help from Eli.  She threw a tea party in the bonus room and there were games, karaoke, dancing.  It was definitely worth the $5!

My favorite part though was Elina's introduction.  She introduced Evie and then Evie said a few words.  It was seriously the cutest thing.  What a great party planner!!
2. Birthday dinners galore!  We had one with my whole family, one with my family minus J and V (they had to return to Austin early), and one at home with AM and his family.

3. Six Flags
We made a special trip to Six Flags because that is one of Evie's favorite places.  She picked all the rides and she loved every single one of them!

4. Actual birthday celebration...
Inflatable Wonderland--This was the activity she wanted to choose while Eli and Elina were at school.  She would've chosen Pump it Up, but she knew that there would be more things for Eulee and Baby A to do at Inflatable Wonderland.  Even on her birthday, she's considerate to the little ones!

Incredible Pizza--This is the activity she wanted after the kids got out of school.  Since it was a Monday, it was a great day to be there!

Birthday Pancakes--We moved birthday pancakes to dinnertime because Evie wanted all the siblings to be there for them.  Since it was a school day, it was hard to squeeze in birthday pancakes in the morning!

More family gifts--The rest of us got Evie some more gifts and she was ecstatic!  She got a Pokemon doll (Eli), another Magiclip Doll that she didn't have (Elina), and a beginner's sewing set and book (B and me).  We got her the sewing stuff because one of her New Year's resolutions is to learn to 'sew with my hands.'  She can't wait to start!  She also went shopping with Ah-Ma and got 4 new pairs of shoes!  Evie is definitely my shoe girl and she's outgrown almost all of them, so it was about time to get some new ones.

Eye injury--So this wasn't a planned gift, per se...Eli and Evie were wrestling in the dark.  You know, just a normal situation.  Then we heard a scream and turned on the lights.  Eli thought he was pinning Evie's left shoulder down by pushing his thumb into the socket area...BUT since it was dark, he was actually pinning her skull down pushing his thumb into the EYE socket area!  I could see how both areas would feel similar in the dark.  Sooooooo, now the rule is--only wrestle with the lights ON!!!  Eli felt terribly about it afterward though, especially since it was her birthday.  It left an unattractive scab the next day for school, but made for an entertaining story!

5. Special snack at school
Evie chose the Amazing German Chocolate Cake for her special snack at school.  She went with a bundt cake again, just because she doesn't like terribly sweet things.  So this was pretty easy for me!

Lots of activities to celebrate our 5 year old...lots of fun, but glad the excitement is over for now.  It's hard work to make life this much fun!  But that's what birthdays are for!!!
