I Like Me Some Shoes

Eli loves shoes....he absolutely loves shoes. He is always trying on other people's shoes, especially Elina's because they fit him better than ours. This is wherein the tragedy lies. Because Eli is so fond of Elina's shoes, he is constantly walking around the house in girls' shoes. Then to make matters "worse," Elina started taking dance lessons and we had to buy her a pair of tap shoes. (You can see where this is going, can't you??) Elina loves tapping on the tile floor in her new shoes. The first time Elina did that, Eli asked us to put on his shoes and he just started slamming his foot on the floor as hard as he could. But no matter how hard he slammed his foot, he couldn't get any tap sounds. He was really upset. So he started trying out all different kinds of shoes to try to get that tap sound. Well, he got tap sounds when he put on Ah-Ma's shoes. Look at how excited he was when he heard the tapping (above picture on left). Oh man, this little boy is doomed. In the picture to the right, Elina let him put on her real tap shoes, so he was pretty excited, too!

So in this first video, Eli is discovering that Ah-Ma's shoes can make him tap sounds just like Elina's tap shoes.


Next we let Eli have a turn with Elina's tap shoes and he has some fun!


I mean, seriously, what kid doesn't like tap sounds coming from their feet?? I don't see how any kid can stay away from tap shoes...male or female. It's just too much fun.

On another note, Elina is having a great time in her new dance class. She loves to tap her feet. Here's a video of her tapping her heart out. (This actually happened before the other videos. That's why Eli is stomping his feet around in just his regular shoes.)
