October Fun for Evie

Evie had lots of school fun during the month of October.  Lucky girl...

1. Field Trip to the Zoo
We went mainly to see the amphibians and reptiles on this trip and it was awesome!  We actually saw a snake while it was in the middle of eating a mouse.  Half of the mouse was sticking out of its mouth and it was very slowly pulling it into his mouth.  It looked insane!  Definitely the highlight of our trip.

2. Field Trip to Natural Bridge Caverns
For this field trip, Evie picked B to go with her.  

They had fun walking through the caverns.  Evie couldn't wait to tell me what guano was!  

The highlight of this trip was mining for gems.  Each child got a bag of dirt and they could sift through it in water and keep all the gems they found.  Evie LOVED this activity.  She's definitely my shiny gem girl!

3. Dad's Night Round 7
This was B's 7th time participating in Dad's Night at Discovery School.  Isn't that nuts??  He already knows how it all goes, so he was a pro at helping Evie make her bat.  Evie did an awesome job coloring it though.  We compared it to Eli's and it looked like Eulee colored his bat from kindergarten.  

Then B and Evie had a nice meal together...then they played outside in the playground in the dark.  The night didn't last as long as most Dad's Nights because of the rain, but they still had a great time together!  Who doesn't love Dad's Night??

What a fun month for Evie...and there's still more to come!
