We went to the same cabin area where the kids and B stayed earlier in the summer--Seven Bluff Cabins. This time we were in Cabin 7 which had more space for the 8 of us. There was a separate bedroom, a futon in the living room...
and a loft area upstairs with 4 twin beds! The kids thought it was the coolest setup ever! Sleeping was a bit of a challenge though because Eli had some allergy coughs and Eulee would wander around...but we made it work the best that we could.
We basically spent our days...
searching for turkey feathers...
swimming in the pool...
playing in the River...
having fun on rope swings (so proud of Eli and Elina for attempting this and loving it!)...
bug hunting and lounging around (lots of yummy food thanks to Grill Master V)...
making s'mores and watching fireflies...

stargazing at the gazillion stars in the nighttime sky (looks amazing, right?? Definitely my fave thing on the trip.)...
taking lots of fun pictures with glow sticks...
and floating the River! We spent 4 hours floating down the River one day. It was crowded in some parts but really fun! We hit a few little rapids here and there. Loved it! We discovered that the river culture is really something to behold. People are serious about the river! We saw camping chairs and EZ Ups 80% submerged into the River so that people could have a seat soaking in the River while avoiding the bright sun. We saw pack n plays and baby swings on the river banks...coolers with built-in speakers...tubes to float your cooler down the river with you...coolers converted into little ride-ons with a motor. It was definitely an experience!
On the drive back, we stopped at Lost Maples State Park for a hike and a little dip in the pond.
