The kids still managed to have fun despite Mommy and Daddy's presence:
*SNO-BEACH...It was our first stop when we arrived in Austin. It was amazing because there was actually no one there. So we all got to sample other flavors. I've always wanted to do that, but there's always been a long line there. I have to admit that sweet tea with cream is still our all-time favorite flavor now. It is simply delicious!
*TRAMPOLINE PLACE...Then we took the kids to a trampoline bouncy place and they had lots of fun!
*FACE-PAINTING...Elina got a new set of face paint crayons for her birthday and she went nuts with them over the weekend. She drew crazy eyebrows on all the kids and on herself. It was SO funny!
*DANCE PARTIES...'nuff said.
*MINUTE-TO-WIN-IT GAMES...we played lots of games for the 4th of July again. It's becoming an annual tradition! We played Movin' on Up...
Don't Blow the Joker...This one is fun because you have to blow a stack of cards (with the Joker on the bottom) off of an empty jar, but you can't blow off the Joker.
Speed Eraser...this is me doing the game poorly...
Then check out B's video footage...he is CRAZY!!
Iron Board Man...Sticky Situation...This one was great fun too! We had to bounce ping pong balls on the ground once to get them to stick to a piece of bread with peanut butter on it. Back Flip... Mad Dog...
*BIRTHDAY CAKE...Elina got to have another birthday ice cream cake with J and V. What a lucky girl!
B and I also managed to have some fun:
*FOOD...We had lots of yummy food without our kids. It's so different eating out without them! We actually waited 45 minutes to eat at Ramen Tatsu-Ya. I couldn't believe we waited that long for food (we would NEVER do that with kids!)...but it was actually worth it! The ramen was unbelievably delicious!
We also went to Frozen Rickshaw to get some homemade ice cream mochi. So pretty and yummy!
*MOVIE...We also got to go see the new Planet of the Apes movie!
*ZIPLINING...B and I went ziplining in Wimberly and had a great time. It wasn't like Alaska or the Smokies, but it was still fun!
It was a win-win for the kids and for us! Lots of fun for everyone!! A great anniversary and a great 4th of July!
